Two Vietnamese students studying in Beijing won third prize in the Lancang-Mekong Impression" Short Video Contest, which was recently held in Lhasa, Tibet, on November 15.

Accordingly, Nguyen Viet Hoang and Nguyen Thi Mai Huong grabbed the prize thanks to their work “I study calligraphy in China”, which was completed with assistance from a Chinese teacher of Beijing Language and Culture University.

The wining work featured the experiences of young Vietnamese people with traditional Chinese culture.

The second "Lancang-Mekong Impression" Short Video Contest, organised by China News Service (CNS), aims to celebrate the eighth anniversary of Lancang-Mekong Cooperation.

The contest received nearly 3,000 entries, awarding prizes to eight works and more than 50 excellent pieces.

This year, contestants were encouraged to capture the diversified natural and cultural landscapes on both sides of the Lancang-Mekong River, tell "Lancang-Mekong stories" through their lens, act as "messengers" of cultural exchanges, and convey the sincere friendship of participant countries as one family.
