The fashion week held in Hanoi opens with a new ready-to-wear collection for women called Giọt Nước Thuần Khiết (Pure Water Drop) by Do Manh Cuong. The collection serves to reflect the strength of youth and energy through images of droplets. The event also sees the unveiling of new collections by 16 international and Vietnamese fashion designers and brands, including Priyo Oktaviano from Indonesia. Designer Duc Hung, who has been working in the fashion industry for over 30 years, brings a collection named Có Một Mùa Đông Như Thế (There’s a Winter Like This) spotlighting Vietnamese culture and quilting techniques. The fashion week attracts hundreds of international and Vietnamese models, including H'Hen Nie who finished among the Top 5 of Miss Universe 2018. Vietnam International Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2024 is underway in Hanoi and will last until November 16. The event opens with the theme of “Fashion Evolution” and aims to honour the strong development and accelerated progress made by the Vietnamese fashion industry over the past decade, thereby further contributing to elevating the industry’s status in the world’s fashion map. The Vietnam International Fashion Week was first held back in 2014 and has quickly become the leading fashion event in ASEAN. In Asia, it ranks as the fourth largest show behind only Tokyo, Seoul, and Shanghai fashion weeks. Numerous designs and collections by local fashion designers have appeared at prestigious fashion weeks and events worldwide. VOV Photos: hanoimoi.vn
