Golden Ball Awards 2024 vote gets underway

According to the organising board, in early January the ballots will be collected to finalise the scores.

The Vietnam Golden Ball Awards ceremony is scheduled to take place in February 2025, when the ASEAN Cup 2024 ends.

This year, the organisers will present Golden, Silver, and Bronze awards in 12 categories for men's and women's footballers and futsal players. In addition, awards will be given to the best foreign, young male, and young female players.

Delivering his marks at the press conference, journalist Nguyen Nhat, permanent deputy editor-in-chief of Sai Gon Giai Phong (SGGP) Newspaper and head of the Organizing Board of the Vietnam Golden Ball Awards, stated that this year can be considered a pivotal period for the Vietnamese football, as young football players are selected in their club’s lineup to compete in national championships.

From now until the end of the year, Vietnamese football is busy with important international tournaments such as the 2025 Asian Women's Futsal Qualifiers, the 2024 Southeast Asian Men's and Women's Futsal Championship, the 2024 ASEAN Cup, the National Women's Football Cup, and the 2024 National Futsal Cup.

Therefore, Nhat said that the organising board has officially launched the Vietnam Golden Ball Award 2024 with the aim of encouraging and creating greater motivation for the players, as well as helping them be more confident and stronger in their journey to conquer high achievements along with their domestic football clubs and national teams.
