An outfit named "Khảm xà cừ" (Mother-of-Pearl Inlay) worn by Vietnamese beauty Le Vo Que Anh has been named among the Top 20 best national costumes at Miss Grand International (MGI) 2024, which is getting underway in Bangkok in Thailand.

The organising board shared that the Top 20 will continue to compete in the second round of the best national costume sub-contest to select the Top 10, including the Top 5 by judges and Top 5 for votes among fans on social media.

The costume was designed by Nguyen Ngoc Tu and stood out for its intricate patterns that symbolise Vietnamese craftsmanship. Despite the costume's bulky structure, with four large panels on her back, Que Anh confidently strutted across the stage, gracefully twirling a fan, thereby creating a mesmerising visual effect.

Contestants at Miss Grand International 2024 will continue to prepare for the final of the beauty contest which is scheduled to take place on October 25.

The reigning Miss Grand International 2023, Lucia Fuster from Peru, will officially crown her successor on the final night of the competition.
