Da Nang welcomes nearly 3,200 foreign cruise visitors

Five-star cruise ship Costa Serena of Italy docked at Tien Sa port in the central city of Da Nang on October 22, carrying with it approximately 3,200 international tourists from Hong Kong (China) to the locality.

The foreign tourists visited several popular destinations throughout Da Nang, including Ba Na Hills, the Son Tra Peninsula, Ngu Hanh Son (Marble Mountains) Landscape, and Han market.

They also headed to the central province of Quang Nam, a neighbour of Da Nang, to tour around the UNESCO-recognised Hoi An Ancient Town and My Son Sanctuary.

Earlier on October 18, the cruise ship Costa Serena arrived at Ha Long International Cruise Port in Quang Ninh province, bringing the 3,040 travelers on board from Hong Kong (China) to Ha Long City.

According to Da Nang’s Department of Tourism, over the past nine months the central city welcomed 27 cruise ships with more than 32,000 arrivals, increasing by five ships and 14,450 arrivals compared to the same period from last year.

In 2023, the central coastal city received 22 international cruise liners with 18,000 arrivals on board. The figure will rise to 45 ships and 40,000 foreigners this year, double compared to last year.
