Speaking at the Conference on investment promotion for Ha Nam Tourism Development in 2024 held on October 18, the Chairman of Ha Nam Provincial People's Committee, Truong Quoc Huy, said that Ha Nam boasts many famous tourism spots such as Tam Chuc Spiritual Tourism Complex, Ba Danh Pagoda, Cay Thi Pagoda, and Vu Dai Village which are already attracting lots of domestic visitors. However, the locality is still little known among foreign tourists.

"Up to 95 percent of visitors to Ha Nam are domestic," the official revealed. "But we're having plans to attract more foreign tourists by upgrading tourism sites and infrastructure projects as well as training personnel."

According to the Ha Nam leader, the province is currently carrying out several projects that will soon provide various high-end tourism services and hundreds of five-star hotel rooms to tourists.

"We're having some five star hotels including the Muong Thanh Hotel, Melia Vinpearl Phu Ly, and the Tam Chuc Spiritual Tourism Complex also supply room services with four-star rating," he said. Besides, some other projects including the Flamingo Golden Hill, the Sun Urban City, or the BRG's Legend Valley golf course will offer lots of luxurious sports and entertainment services at their recreation parks, shopping centre, or night streets. I believe that Ha Nam will surely be able to serve all types of tourists looking for different experiences, including culture, spirituality, sightseeing, sports, and entertainment."

Speaking at the conference, Japanese Deputy Ambassador to Vietnam Ishikawa Isamu said he has seen that Ha Nam leaders had made great efforts to develop tourism in recent years.

"I arrived to take my post in Vietnam on September 10, and Ha Nam is the second place I visited after Hanoi," he said. "But I've learned a lot about Ha Nam from looking at our investment projects in the province. Your potential and great hospitality have attracted an increasing number of Japanese enterprises, and we currently have 100 enterprises operating in the province. And I know that the Mikazuki Group will also invest in a resort and spa project here, and we hope to continue receiving your support."

The Japanese official said he was sure that Ha Nam would achieve its target of receiving over four million tourists, including 490,000 foreign visitors, in 2025.

Attending the conference, Deputy General Director of Sun World Group, Tran Nguyen, said that Hanam has many potential for developing tourism thanks to its rich and unique culture and close distance to Hanoi; and they are carrying out a large-sclale tourism project in the province.
