Vietnam in Group of Life at ASEAN Futsal Championship 2024

Vietnam have been drawn in a Group of Life alongside Thailand, Malaysia, Brunei, and Timor Leste at the ASEAN Futsal Championship 2024 due to get underway in Thailand this November.

In Group A, they are scheduled to play against Timor Leste on November 2, Malaysia on November 4, Brunei on November, and Thailand on November 6.

As Vietnam encounter Thailand who are considered archrivals in the final match, Argentinean coach Diego Giustozzi will try to secure as many points as possible in matches against Timor Leste, Malaysia, and Brunei.

The Vietnamese futsal team are taking part in a training camp in Ho Chi Minh City until October 25 before heading to Thailand for an intensive training camp. There, they will play two friendly matches, one against Thailand's Hongyen Thakam Club on October 27 and the other against Australia's national team on October 29.

The ASEAN Futsal Championship 2024 will take place in Thailand from November 2 to 10, with the event featuring nine teams divided into two groups.

The two top teams from each group will duly advance to the semi-final stage.

Vietnam are now placed at 34th position in the world, eighth position in Asia, and third in the ASEAN region.
