Several renowned Korean stars will touch down in Ho Chi Minh City for GENfest, the multi-sensory music gateway, which is scheduled to take place locally on November 23 - 24.

Hwasa and LOCO are among artists from the Republic of Korea (RoK) who have confirmed their participation in the event, said organisers MMUSIC.

Ahn Hye-jin, known by her stage name of Hwasa, is a Korean singer, songwriter, and television personality. She first rose to prominence as a member of the girl group Mamamoo in 2014.

In February, 2019, she made her solo debut with the song "Twit", which topped the Circle Digital Chart and won song of the year at the Gaon Chart Music Awards. In 2021, she was honoured on the list of 30 Under 30 Asia as announced by Forbes.

As one of the RoK's top hip-hop artists, LOCO will bring several of his big hits to the event, including “Hold Me Tight”, “Too Much”, and “Some”.

The music festival will also feature performances by eight Vietnamese singers, namely SUBOI, Karik, Andree Right Hand, Wren Evans, Tlinh, Quang Hung MasterD, Duong Domic, and WXRDIE.

GENfest organised by MMUSIC made its successful debut in November 2023, aiming to introduce young talented Vietnamese artists to the international market and to serve as a vibrant culture hub for cultural exchanges to take place.

With over 35,000 participants, the two-day event last year featured a wide range of entertainment activities, including musical performances, art exhibitions, fashion, culinary delights, as well as outdoor games. It provided a platform for young individuals to enjoy high-quality music performances and engage in various cultural experiences.
