Paintings by renowned Vietnamese artists auctioned at high prices in France

Several artworks created by renowned Vietnamese painters have recently been sold for high prices at auctions held simultaneously in both Vietnam and France, according to French Millon Auction House.

Most notably, the silk painting “Le don de la Mère” (“The present of Mother”) by famous painter Le Pho was put up for sale at  EUR600,000, the highest price in the auction titled “The Legends from Indochina Fine Arts College” by Million Auction House.

Another painting “Jeune fille au perroquet” (“Lady with the Parrot”) by Le Pho was sold at EUR315,000.

Elsewhere, the artwork “Les baigneuses” (“Bath”) by Vietnamese painter Nguyen Tuong Lan was auctioned at a price of EUR 310,000, while the painting “Reflet sur la rivière” (“Reflection of the River”) by local artist Tran Phuc Duyen was sold for EUR110,000.

In addition, some valuable artworks by famous Vietnamese artists during the Indochina period such as Vu Cao Dam, and Mai Trung Thu were also auctioned at good prices at the auction.
