Quanta exports first two batches of laptops from Nam Dinh factory

Quanta Computer Inc., of Taiwan (China) on September 24 exported the first two batches of laptops from its factory in the northern province of Nam Dinh.

The schedule will see the export batches transferred to the world's leading laptop corporations for quality assessment.

According to a representative of Quanta Computer Inc., the firm has been given active support from local authorities to ensure its products meet international quality standards.

Quanta received an investment license from Nam Dinh province in May 2023 to produce laptops and desktops in My Thuan Industrial Park of My Loc district. The factory has been designed to produce 2.6 million units by 2025, 3.6 million units by 2026, 4 million units by 2027, and 4.5 million units by 2028.

The group planned to employ approximately 2,000 workers by the end of this year and 9,000 workers ahead in 2025.

Quanta Computer Inc. was originally founded in 1988 and has grown into one of the world's leading laptop manufacturers. In addition to its laptop manufacturing business, Quanta is expanding its scope of operations to cloud computing, enterprise network solutions, mobile communications products, smart home products, automation electronics, smart healthcare, as well as both IoT and AI applications.

Along with the Nam Dinh facility, the group has eight computer manufacturing factories around the world located in China, the United States, Mexico, Germany, Japan, the Republic of Korea, and Thailand.
