Designer Phan Dang Hoang, 24, debuted his latest collection "Ceramics" which showcases the beauty of Vietnamese women at Milan Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2025 recently held in Italy, winning him plaudits from international experts.
Milan Fashion Week makes up one of the "Big Four" global fashion weeks alongside New York, Paris, and London. Hoang is the only Vietnamese designer to take part in the event this year. The fashion show takes place at the Royal Palace of Milan in Italy, featuring the collection "Ceramics" made up of 40 designs. The outfits recreate images of Vietnamese women from 100 years ago with a modern, innovative, and creative perspective. The collection mainly draws inspiration from silk paintings by famous artist Nguyen Phan Chanh and ceramic art. The local designer has spent more than 11 years pursuing his artistic dream, having previously risen to prominence for his series of paintings about Vietnamese artists. The 24-year-old designer graduated from the Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti in Milan. His collections featuring Vietnamese women has since been introduced in many international fashion magazines. In May, Hoang was named in Forbes' 30 Under 30 Asia list for The Arts, recognising him as one of the most influential young artists in all of Asia. VOV Photos: vtcnews.vn
