After braving the impact of typhoon Yagi, the northeastern province of Quang Ninh has gradually returned to normal, with the local tourism industry quickly bouncing back.
The northeastern province of Quang Ninh has launched a three-day clean-up campaign for the storm-battered Ha Long Bay and many areas which have been heavily impacted by typhoon Yagi. Local authorities urge relevant departments and agencies to immediately implement the campaign, with a specific focus on collecting waste, restoring infrastructure, and salvaging sunken boats. Typhoon Yagi causes significant damage in Quang Ninh, thereby impacting various aspects of social life, particularly the service and tourism sectors. Reports indicate extensive damage has been done to accommodation establishments, particularly in Ha Long, Van Don, Cam Pha, and Co To. A total of 27 tourist boats and four vessels were sunk amid the extreme weather. In preparation for reopening, tourist boat operators in Ha Long Bay have focused on maintenance and safety checks in a bid to ensure that their vessels are fully ready to opearte. Around 10,000 tourists have visited Quang Ninh province over the past few days. Safety remains the top priority, with hotels quickly implementing all necessary measures in a bid to ensure the comfort and security of their guests in order to attract more tourists in the coming time.
