The ninth Electric & Power Vietnam and the 16th Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVACR) Vietnam exhibitions kicked off in Ho Chi Minh City on September 4.

The three-day events attract over 350 exhibitors from 15 countries and territories, including India, China, Germany, the Republic of Korea, the US, Malaysia, Japan, Thailand, Turkey, China, and Vietnam.

They focus on the latest technology, equipment, and solutions in the fields of electric power distribution, renewable energy, smart grids, HVAC systems, and smart building systems in Vietnam. Thousands of modern devices and services are presented to energy and construction industries, highlighting advancements in these sectors.

Nguyen Van Nga, head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade's southern representative office, emphasised the growing scale of the exhibitions as evidence of strong commitments to fostering innovation in both domestic and international trade and industry sectors. The ministry will continue to support activities that promote trade and investment, both domestically and internationally, she said.

Luu Minh Quyen, Senior Project Manager at Informa Markets Vietnam, pointed out the significant shift in Vietnam's energy production structure, with a rapid increase in the share of renewable energy.

The growing importance of energy storage systems (ESS) was also highlighted as a potential solution in the context of increasing electricity generation capacity.

The events provide businesses with the opportunity to access advanced machinery, equipment, and technology from the global market, meet partners and clients, and participate in specialised international conferences.

They serve as a platform for industry stakeholders to explore cutting-edge innovations, discuss emerging trends, and forge connections that will drive the future of Vietnam's energy and smart building sectors.
