Books on President Hồ Chí Minh displayed in HCM City

HCM CITY — The Việt Nam Publishers' Association is hosting an exhibition on books and publications about President Hồ Chí Minh in HCM City to mark 55 years of implementing the President’s testament.
The showcase includes nearly 3,000 book titles, publications, and audiobooks published by leading publishers such as the Trẻ (Youth) Publishing House, HCM City General Publishing House, and the Sự Thật (Truth) National Political Publishing House.
All books highlight the life and career of President Hồ Chí Minh, and the movement of studying and following the President’s thoughts, morality and lifestyle.
The highlight is a collection of 62 books featuring President Hồ Chí Minh’s revolutionary career and national salvation journey, and the implementation of his testament called Tủ Sách Di Sản Hồ Chí Minh (A Bookshelf of President Hồ Chí Minh’s Legacy).
Published by the Trẻ Publishing House, the books are written and compiled by prestigious historians, authors, and educators such as Trần Văn Giàu and Hà Minh Hồng.
The Sự Thật National Political Publishing House presents five publications written and compiled by President Hồ Chí Minh, which are recognised as national treasures, such as Nhật Ký Trong Tù (Diary in Prison), a collection of 133 poems written in 1942-1943; and the President’s testament in 1969.
The exhibition also features dozens of audiobooks about the President released by Vietnamese audiobook and podcast publisher Voiz FM.
According to the organiser, the exhibition aims to promote publications on President Hồ Chí Minh, and the movement of studying and following the President’s thoughts, morality and lifestyle.
It is expected to help today's generations, especially youth, to review and learn about the last words of the beloved leader, the Vietnamese hero of national liberation and the great man of culture, and educate them about the country’s revolutionary traditions, patriotism and national pride.
Readers can see the books at the community library The Wiselands Coffee, 216/1 Điện Biên Phủ Street in District 3 until September 14.
