HÀ NỘI – Healthcare facilities nationwide have been asked to ensure the readiness of medical examination and treatment during the upcoming National Day holiday on September 2.
The Health Ministry’s Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management has issued an official dispatch requesting units direct their affiliated medical facilities to ensure full staffing.
They have asked the hospitals to ensure they have people in place for leadership, professional, administrative, and security roles.
The Ministry says that treatment facilities need to organise emergency services and treatment properly, ensuring that all patients are examined and treated without refusal or delay.
In cases where patients are admitted outside their designated areas or specialties and require emergency care, initial stabilisation and a thorough explanation to the patient and their family must be provided before transferring to another medical facility.
Units need to increase personnel, equipment and medical supplies to ensure the highest possible capacity in response to any traffic accident casualties. They should also assign emergency medical teams to be on standby, ready to respond promptly in case of mass casualties, serious traffic accidents or disasters involving large crowds.
Healthcare facilities are also required to ensure food safety, prevent food poisoning and drowning and warn of accidents in crowded tourist areas. They must also maintain around-the-clock hotlines to support people in case of need.
In the event of special developments such as outbreaks of other dangerous diseases or other special cases, medical units have to report urgently to the direct management agencies via the hotline and promptly submit a written report on special developments for a timely resolution. VNS
