The first group of a large delegation of Indian tourists arrived in Hanoi and begun their tour through the capital city on Tuesday afternoon.
This group is part of a total of 4,500 employees from Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Limited, the fourth largest pharmaceutical corporation in the world. This marks the largest-ever contingent of visitors to land in Vietnam.
According to their itinerary, they first visited the Hỏa Lò Prison Relic located in Hoàn Kiếm District the same day.
A representative from the relic site stated that they have arranged guides and signage in three languages: Vietnamese, English and Hindi to welcome about 300 Indian visitors.
All attendees were eager to listen to and curiously explore the memorabilia displayed at the venue.
Sahil Sood from Sri Ganganagar City felt exhilarated during his first visit to Vietnam, a country cherished by many Indians. He planned to take time to explore local markets and enjoy evening entertainment. He was particularly excited about visiting Hạ Long Bay in Quảng Ninh Province the following day.
He remarked on the warmth and friendliness of the local people. During his stay in Vietnam, he was eager to sample both Vietnamese and Indian cuisine, with a particular fondness for Vietnamese coffee.
Meanwhile, Arjit Sahai from New Delhi delighted in capturing photographs of every corner of the historic site before heading to his next destination, Văn Miếu - Quốc Tử Giám (Temple of Literature).
After taking photos for check-in one of Vietnam's most famous venues, many tourists comfortably admired and recorded images of the architectural space despite hot weather.
Roshni, a resident of New Delhi, expressed that while she didn't have strong feelings about Hanoi, she cherished its peaceful environment. She eagerly anticipated exploring more of the country, particularly since rice is a beloved dish there.
In early August, Indian billionaire Dilip Shanghvi, the Founder and Chairman of Sun Pharmaceuticals, announced plans to bring 4,500 employees to Vietnam for a tourism event. This initiative is regarded as a gratitude conference for the company's agents worldwide.
The group would be divided into small packs traveling for five days in Hanoi, Quảng Ninh and Ninh Bình, from August 27 to September 7.
They would not stay over night in the provinces but spend all four nights in Hanoi organising activities such as conferences, seminars, and gala dinner.
On this occasion, 10 high-end hotels in the city were chosen to serve the Indian delegation.
Novotel Hanoi Thái Hà Hotel alone welcomed nearly 400 guests who will stay until August 30.
Mathieu Le Besq, General Manager of the hotel said he hoped that the hotel's careful preparation and a warm welcome along with modern and comfortable facilities and professional services would bring not only a memorable vacation, but also best experiences to guests.
