Vietjet to receive up to 10 new aircraft by year-end

This expansion aims to meet its growing demand and serve passengers on both domestic and international routes.
The new aircraft, expected to be delivered from August 2024, are primarily the latest A321neo ACF model from Airbus. In 2019, Vietjet became the first airline in the world to operate the A321neo ACF (Airbus Cabin Flex).
The A321neo ACF features an improved cabin design, ensuring standard seat dimensions and spacing, offering the best in-flight experience for passengers. These aircraft also provide at least 16% fuel savings, reduce noise by up to 75%, and cut emissions by 50%.
Recently, Vietjet has signed a contract to purchase 20 new-generation wide-body A330neo (A330-900) aircraft from Airbus, valued at US$7.4 billion. Passengers will soon be able to fly on Vietjet’s new A330neo aircraft on longer, safer, more comfortable, and modern routes.
Vietjet's fleet of over 100 aircraft currently includes some of the most advanced and safest models in the world, such as the A320, A321ceo, A321neo - A321neo ACF, and A330 aiming to protect the environment and save fuel, with a goal of achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050. Vietjet has transported 200 million passengers, including millions of first-time passengers.
Vietjet transported a total of 13.1 million passengers on 70,154 safe flights in H1/2024. The airline reported H1 consolidated revenue of VND34.016 trillion (approx. US$1.35 billion) and consolidated pre-tax profit of VND1.311 trillion (approx. US$52.22 million), increasing by 15% and 433% respectively YoY. The profit has even exceeded 21% of the H1 target. The airline has paid a total of VND3.687 trillion (approx. US$146.78 million) of direct and indirect taxes and fees in the first half of 2024.
With 10 aircraft expected to be delivered by the end of 2024, Vietjet will continue to expand its network in Vietnam and internationally, reaching new destinations in Australia, India, China, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Laos, Cambodia, and beyond.
