The Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has launched the fourth ASEAN graphic arts competition to show off a range of innovative achievements in graphic art.

Citizens from 10 ASEAN countries, namely Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam, are now encouraged to submit their entries to the organising committee via email to aseangraphicarts2024@gmail.com by August 31.

All of the artworks are required to be created between 2020 and 2024, encompassing woodcut, metal engraving, gypsum engraving, rubber engraving, on-stone print, unique print, and other forms of graphic art.

The themes of the entries should primarily focus on various aspects of life, humans, natural landscapes, peace, solidarity, co-operation, and friendship, as well as contemporary issues.

Each participant can send a maximum of three pieces. Each artwork should be in a JPG format file, accompanied by a text file containing information regarding the author and artwork.

The organisers plan to award one first prize, three second prizes, five third prizes, and seven consolation prizes to artists with excellent pieces.

The organisation board will then select approximately 200 graphic artworks for the exhibition which is due to take place in Hai Phong this December.

The ASEAN graphic arts competition and exhibition was first held in 2012, and this year marks the fourth edition of the event.
