Local artists will come together to take part in a music gala on the morning of October 6 to mark Capital Liberation Day.
Most notably, a total of 500 artists will re-enact images of the Vietnamese People’s Army marching into the capital on October 10, 1954.
The highlight of the occasion will be a parade involving around 9,000 people which will introduce UNESCO-recognised world natural and cultural heritages in Hanoi.
They will also perform typical folk arts of the capital during the parade such as Xẩm singing and ca trù (ceremonial singing). Craft villages’ products, including Hang Trong folk paintings, Van Phuc silk, and Bat Trang ceramics, will also be featured.
Moreover, women wearing Ao Dai (traditional long dress) will participate in the parade, whilst introductions for products of flower villages across the capital will also take place.
