Three local tourist destinations have been named among the top 25 most beloved tourist attractions in Asia by readers of prestigious online travel company TripAdvisor.

They include Hoi An Ancient Town in the central province of Quang Nam, the War Remnants Museum, and the Cu Chi Tunnels in Ho Chi Minh City.

According to details given by TripAdvisor, Hoi An Ancient Town ranked seventh among the list.

Situated along the Thu Bon River, the area is renowned for its iconic yellow ancient houses and rich cultural heritage. Once a bustling trading hub for Asian merchants, Hoi An captivates international visitors with its serene, countryside charm coupled with unique experiences on offer for guests.

Meanwhile, the War Remnants Museum on Vo Van Tan street in District 3 came in 10th position.

Established back in 1975, the museum can be considered a must-visit for those keen on understanding Vietnamese history. It houses over 20,000 artifacts, images, and documents highlighting the nation’s historic struggles during two major wars.

"With its compelling exhibits and informative displays, visitors gain a profound understanding of the war's impact on lives," says TripAdvisor.

Ranked 14th in TripAdvisor's list, the Cu Chi Tunnels are widely known for being a symbol of enduring Vietnamese resistance.

Constructed in the late 1940s, the tunnels endured heavy bombardments in the 1960s. TripAdvisor describes it as an impressive and immersive adventure offering historical insights and a deep cultural understanding.

Elsewhere, Gardens by the Bay of Singapore topped the top 25 list thanks to its breathtaking beauty and visitor appeal.
