The programme is part of the Shopping Season 2024, a series of promotional schemes taking place across the city to stimulate domestic consumption, and to elevate Ho Chi Minh City as an attractive destination for international tourists, said Nguyen Khac Hieu, acting director of the Center for Supporting Industry Development.
The programme will be divided into two stages, with the first taking place from December 18 to 25 at two locations - Union Square Shopping Center and Menas Shopping Center.
The second stage will get underway at three locations - Gigamall Shopping Center, SC VivoCity Shopping Center, and Vincom Dong Khoi Shopping Center from December 27 to January 1, 2025.
Accordingly, more than 500 high-end brands from around the world will offer huge discounts of up to 80% on numerous products, such as fashion clothing products, perfumes, shoes, handbags, suitcases, bedding, and mattresses from 2022 to present.
In particular, the event is expected to witness the presence of renowned retail corporations such as Central Retail Group and Luxasia Group.
The first 2024 City Sale took place from August 30 to September 8, drawing the participation of more than 500 international and Vietnamese brands and 200,000 visitors.
More than VND10 billion in gifts and vouchers were also given to customers at the event.
