The projected trajectory of Typhoon Trami as of Friday morning.

As of 4am on Friday, the eye of the storm was situated on the eastern waters of Việt Nam's northern East Sea (known internationally as the South China Sea). It is projected to strengthen and continue westward at about 10km/h.

Over the next two days, the tropical storm could change its direction to the southeast and gradually weaken.

Due to Trami's impact, the eastern waters of the northern East Sea can expect strong winds of 62-88m/h, with areas near the storm's centre reaching 75-102km/h. Rough sea is forecast with waves that could reach 5-9m high.

Heavy rain is expected in the East Sea with a possibility of tornadoes and strong gusts of wind (50-74km/h). — VNS
