A closing ceremony of the Nha Trang International Light Festival 2024 originally scheduled to take place on the evening of July 20 will be postponed until an appropriate time, said the administration of Khanh Hoa province that is playing host to the festival.

The authorities asked for sympathy and requested hotels, accommodation establishments, and travel companies to provide support for tourists heading to Nha Trang city to participate in the event.

They said they would announce the new schedule for the festival’s closing ceremony at an appropriate time.

The Nha Trang International Light Festival 2024, the first international drone light show contest of its kind, opened on July 13. The event saw the participation of four teams from France, China, the Republic of Korea (RoK), and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), with around 8,000 drones expected to be used during the contest.

The opening night of the festival featured the first drone light show competition between teams from the RoK and China under the theme of "Glamour Nha Trang". In addition, there was a musical performance put on by young Vietnamese singers.

The festival was scheduled to conclude with a closing ceremony at Vinpearl Harbour on Hon Tre Island in Nha Trang Bay on the evening of July 20 with a competition between participants from France and the UAE with the theme of "Night of the Wonders".
