Unveiling the statistics on June 29, the GSO reported that the average registered capital of a new enterprise throughout the reviewed period stood at VND9.2 billion, marking an annual decline of 0.8%.
Of them, 781,000 firms registered to operate in the agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sector, down 2.3% from 2023. This was followed by the industrial and construction sector with 19,000 enterprises, up 5.3%; and the service sector with 60,700 businesses, up 6.4%.
Furthermore, during the January to June period, a total of 110,300 enterprises withdrew from the market, marking a yearly increase of 18.4%.
In June alone, the country welcomed more than 15,700 newly established enterprises, whilst over 7,500 businesses returned to operation.
According to the GSO, 119,600 enterprises either entered or re-entered the market in the first half of the year, marking an increase of 5.3% compared to the same period from last year.
