Newly-established enterprises up 1.87% in 10-month period

As many as 136,085 enterprises were established between January and October with a total registered capital of over VND1.3 quadrillion, marking annual rises of 1.87% and 4.08%, respectively.

Of them, 103,127 firms registered to operate in the service sector, accounting for 75.8% of the figure, up 2.73% year on year.

This was followed by the industrial and construction sector with 31,585 enterprises, down 0.53% year on year, whilst the agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sector with 1,373 businesses was down 5.24% against the same period last year.

The Ministry of Planning and Investment also noted that about 66,240 firms resumed operations in the reviewed period.

Furthermore, the past 10 months saw a total of 173,200 enterprises withdraw from the market, including more than 63,000 enterprises filing for dissolution.
