HÀ NỘI — The new Hà Nội Children's Cultural Complex, a modern cultural, art and entertainment complex in Nam Từ Liêm District, officially opened to the public after three years of construction.

The complex is part of the commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the capital city's Liberation Day.

Nguyễn Thị Tuyến, a member of the Party Central Committee and Standing Deputy Secretary of the Hà Nội Party Committee said that there are nearly 400 cultural and sports institutions in the capital, creating a large-scale system that supports rapid and sustainable socio-economic development.

She believes the complex, featuring contemporary architecture, spaciousness and tech-savvy equipment, will become one of these vital institutions.

The Hà Nội Children's Cultural Complex, located at CV1 Balancing Lake Park, Cầu Giấy New Urban Area in Nam Từ Liêm District, has been under construction since November 2021.

It aims to be a cultural and sports centre which also provides space for studying and competing in sports, creating a favourable environment for the development of Hà Nội's future generations.

Covering a total area of 40,000sq.m, the complex includes an 800-seat theatre, a 200-seat 3D-4D cinema, a 500-capacity stadium, a swimming pool and a library.

The observatory tower stands 68 metres tall from which visitors can have an overview of the city and learn about astronomy.— VNS
