This year saw the event attract 500 local businesses and service providers, aiming to strengthen connectivity and cooperation and seek ways to promote MICE tourism in the country.
Nguyen Duc Anh, chairman of Vietnam MICE Tourism Club, said that MICE EXPO 2024 is not only a place in which to meet, exchange, and share experiences between businesses, organisations, and individuals in the field of MICE tourism, but also an opportunity for all of them to discuss and find new trends and creative solutions.
The event is expected to help improve competitiveness and service quality, and optimise business efficiency, said Anh.
At the opening ceremony, Vu The Binh, chairman of the Vietnam Tourism Association, stressed that with a number of scenic spots, rich traditional culture, cultural heritages, modern accommodation facilities, and a professional workforce, Vietnam has all the conditions to become a MICE tourism centre of the region and the wider world.
A wide range of activities, including a golf tournament, business-to-business (B2B) meetings, and the launch of a Vietnam MICE tourism development forum, will also be held within the framework of the expo.
In addition, the organisers will hold a fact-finding tour for businesses in Ha Long city in Quang Ninh province on September 28 - 29.
