The Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) proudly announces the successful conclusion of the DEX Connex Programme in Vietnam, in conjunction with the prestigious Vietnam Innovation Summit 2024.

MDEC is committed to supporting Malaysian tech companies in expanding their international presence and fostering bilateral collaborations that drive innovation and economic growth. MDEC has upheld its commitment by bringing 30 Malaysian tech companies to participate in the programme, emphasising the collective efforts of all partners involved.

The key highlights of this programme are the exchanged of the Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs), and Memorandum of Agreements (MoAs) documents between Malaysia and Vietnam counterparts. In line with the ongoing MoU between MDEC and Sunwah Innovation, DEX Connex Vietnam 2024 programme serves as a vital platform for strengthening bilateral cooperation between Malaysia and Vietnam in the digital economy.

During the event, several key Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and Agreements (MoAs) were exchanged, further strengthening partnerships between Malaysian and Vietnamese companies. These collaborations aim to drive innovation, enhance competitiveness, and create new opportunities for growth in the digital sphere by leveraging each other’s strengths and expertise.

The companies involved in these exchanges Finhero, Sandmerit and GoFluence from Malaysia and Solarvest, Wemonster Company Limited and GoFluence from Vietnam.

These partnerships have resulted in engagements worth over 150 million RM, underscoring the programme’s pivotal role in promoting Malaysian technology and innovation on the global stage.

Reflecting on the achievements of previous DEX Connex events in the Philippines, Indonesia, and Thailand, over 150 companies participated, leading to the exchange of 29 MoUs and MoAs. This has generated more than 600 million RM in potential opportunities for Malaysian tech companies in these markets.

The DEX Connex Vietnam 2024 programme was a collaborative effort with key partners, including Consulate General of Malaysia in Ho Chi Minh City, the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) Vietnam, Sunwah Innovation, the Malaysia Business Chamber Vietnam (MBCV), Hong Kong Business Association Vietnam, China Business Association HCMC Branch and Innolab Asia.
