Hanoi’s first-ever lotus festival, held from July 12-16 and participated by more than 50,000 visitors, was a great success, opening high prospects for the capital city to build a unique cultural and tourism brand.
Through the festival, distinctive values of the traditional job of making lotus-scented tea and the unique characteristics of lotus culture in Vietnamese life have been introduced to visitors and tourists.
The Hanoi Lotus Festival 2024 kicked off at the Tay Ho Creative Cultural Space in Tay Ho district in the capital on July 12 with the aim of promoting and honouring the beauty and cultural values of the lotus flower.
The Thua Thien-Hue Department of Tourism hosted an opening ceremony on July 5 evening to kick-start the Hue Lotus Festival 2024 at Tu Tuong Park in Hue, the former imperial city of Vietnam.
