Local photographer wins big at Epson International Pano Awards 2024

Local photographer Nguyen Tan Tuan has become the overall runner-up at the open competition of the Epson International Pano Awards 2024 for his outstanding photo “Mùa Hoa Cúc” (chrysanthemum Season).

In addition, Tuan was also named as the winner of the Open-Built Environment competition and Epson Digital Art Prize 2024.

Tuan shared that he loves taking photos of various landscapes and traditional craft village throughout the country, especially the golden chrysanthemums growing village in Sa Dec in the Mekong Delta province of Dong Thap.

“With the flycam, I took photos showing the beauty of the craft village here, how farmers cultivate and harvest by boat next to the beautiful flower trellises,” he said.

The Epson International Pano Awards is a large-scale photography competition which offers a platform that brings together world-renowned landscape photographers.

This marks the 15th year that the contest has been held, with the event attracting 4,529 artworks by 1,105 photographers from 95 countries and territories worldwide.

The 2024 Open Photographer of the Year winner ultimately went to Kelvin Yuen of Hong Kong (China).
