Ky Duyen crowned Miss Universe Vietnam 2024

Nguyen Cao Ky Duyen, the winner of Miss Vietnam 2014, surpassed 28 other contestants to ultimately be crowned Miss Universe Vietnam 2024 in the grand final held on September 14 in Ho Chi Minh City.

The 28-year-old beauty hailing from the northern province of Nam Dinh stands at 1.76 metres tall with body measurement of 86-60-94 cm.

She has experience working as a member of the judging panel and a coach of many competitions, including The Look Vietnam 2017, Vietnam Supermodel 2018, Miss Sports 2022, and The Face Vietnam 2023.

During the Miss Universe Vietnam 2024 pageant, Ky Duyen won the Miss Popular Vote sub-title and was named among the Top 5 finalists of the best evening gown and the best swimsuit sub-contests.

The winner received a crown worth VND24 million and a cash prize of VND2 billion. Ky Duyen spent VND500 million on supporting flood victims heavily impacted by typhoon Yagi. Duyen will spend over one month preparing for the 73rd edition of Miss Universe, with the event scheduled to take place on November 16 in Mexico.

The Miss Universe Vietnam 2024 pageant’s final night was held at the Phu Tho competition hall in Ho Chi Minh City, drawing the participation of 24 contestants. Participants held a minute of silence to mourn the flood victims of typhoon Yagi.

The first and second runner-up titles went to Nguyen Quynh Anh from Hanoi and Vu Thuy Quynh from Dien Bien province, respectively.

The organisers also gave awards to sub-contest winners such as Miss Photogenic Doan Tuong Linh, Miss Talent Phi Phuong Anh, and Best in Swimsuit Quach Tapiau Maily.
