A representative of Minh Tuan Mobile said that as of late September 26, the store chain had received over 16,000 pre-orders for the iPhone 16 Series VN/A, an increase of 10% compared to the preorders of the previous model.
As scheduled, Minh Tuan Mobile will hand over more than 1,500 iPhone 16s on the first day of sales.
A customer, Xuan from District 3 in Ho Chi Minh City, had come into the store to purchase an iPhone 16 Pro Max 256 GB at a price of VND34.99 million. He said that he was lucky among the first customers to get the phone.
Similarly, the majority of customers were young people who began picking up the iPhone 16 series at mobile retailers The Gioi Di Dong’s TopZone, Cellphone S, and F.Studio (FPT) stores when the new series were launched early this morning.
A representative of Di Dong Viet store chain stated that this year the company is not accepting deposits for the iPhone 16 series for fears depositors may not receive the product as early as expected.
“The product is in short supply at the beginning, and I am afraid that the supply is not enough to meet market demand,” he noted.
However, the representative added that the company has still opened a registration portal and it has so far received 25,000 registrations.
The company will deliver the products in order, he added.
The four models of the iPhone 16 series were unveiled on September 9, featuring larger screens for the Pro models and camera upgrades across the board, including a 48-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a new Action button.
