The forum also provided an ideal platform for local businesses to introduce their potential in digital technology, but also contributed to promoting cooperation among domestic and foreign firms in this field.
At the working sessions put on during the event, both domestic and foreign experts pointed out that the country’s digital technology industry earns a revenue of US$150 billion with 67,500 enterprises, of which 1,500 firms operate in the international market at present.
Furthermore, Vietnamese human resources in the field are highly qualified and rank among the top 10 in the world in terms of programming capacity. Indeed, Vietnam also offers many preferential policies for the digital technology industry, they noted.
The country is currently also in the process of finalizing the draft Law on Digital Technology Industry.
At the event, business representatives also shared details about the opportunities for digital investment in the Vietnamese market, with a specific focus on strengthening linkages for financial services and technology whilst sharing experience in the field of digital technology investment as well as digital transformation of the industrial ecosystem.
