Historical exhibition opens at Hà Nội Library

HÀ NỘI - Hà Nội Library has put on display some of 300 books and documents at an exhibition to celebrate the 79th anniversary of August Revolution.

The exhibition entitled August Revolution - A Historical Milestone aims to highlight the sound leadership of the Party and the role of President Hồ Chí Minh in a national revolution in the 1930-1945 period, the Vietnamese people's struggle to gain independence and the historical significance of the August Revolution in 1945, which led to the birth of the Democratic Republic of Việt Nam - now the Socialist Republic of Việt Nam.

The event also seeks to introduce visitors to the remarkable achievements of the country and Hà Nội as a capital, in various fields of politics, economy, culture and society.

The exhibition will run until September 5 at Hà Nội Library, 47 Bà Triệu Street, Hoàn Kiếm District. - VNS
