LAOS — Global brand Hilton has opened the DoubleTree by Hilton Vientiane, marking the hotel and resort group’s foray into Laos and the hospitality group’s tenth market expansion into Southeast Asia.
DoubleTree by Hilton Vientiane is located in the heart of Laos’ capital city with access to major transport hubs and iconic local attractions, making it a prime choice for business and leisure travellers. The opening reflects Hilton’s continued expansion in Southeast Asia, spotlighting the growth opportunities in the region where Hilton is set to nearly double its portfolio in the coming years.
The hotel, opened on September 4, boasts 188 well-appointed rooms and suites, with each room featuring uninterrupted views of the cityscape or the Mekong River. From stylish and contemporary guest rooms to spacious and residential suites, these accommodations guarantee feel-good moments throughout the stay.
Each room combines contemporary design with rich Lao cultural heritage and is furnished with modern amenities, including high-definition televisions and ergonomic work areas, so guests can relax, connect and feel at home.
“Laos boasts a rich cultural heritage and stunning natural landscapes. With the opening of DoubleTree by Hilton Vientiane, we are honoured to bring Hilton’s signature hospitality to the heart of this up-and-coming destination,” said President, Asia Pacific, Hilton, Alan Watts.
“With a growing desire among Vietnamese travellers to explore destinations in Asia and experience local culture, this latest addition to our portfolio underscores Hilton’s commitment to being where our guests want to be, and to capturing the growing travel demand in this dynamic region."
The opening of DoubleTree by Hilton Vientiane is part of the upscale full-service brand’s growing portfolio in Asia Pacific. Hilton recently marked another significant milestone as it surpassed 100 properties in Asia Pacific. With nearly 80 DoubleTree by Hilton properties in the pipeline in Asia Pacific, all offering a double dose of comfort and care, the brand will contribute to Hilton’s target to surpass 1,000 hotels in the region by 2025. — VNS
