During the January to July period the capital received a total of 16.44 million arrivals, up 11.8% on-year.
Of the figure, the overall number of international arrivals hit 3.43 million, representing an annual rise of 42.5%, while domestic tourists stood at an estimated 13.01 million, up 5.8%.
The total revenue from tourism throughout the reviewed period was approximately VND63.6 trillion, marking a yearly increase of 18.9%.
July alone witnessed Hanoi welcome a total of 2.52 million tourists, rising by 7.4% compared to the same month in 2023. Among them were 425,000 foreign arrivals, up 20.8% against the same period from last year.
Revenues from tourism increased by 10.3% from the same period last year to reach over VND9 trillion.
Hanoi now has 3,760 accommodation establishments with a total of 71,246 rooms, of which 606 hotels and apartment complexes have been rated between one to five stars.
