Topping the list of search trends was “Euro”, the international football competition involving the leading national teams from Europe.
Other popular terms featuring on the list in this category include “Asian Cup”, “Olympics”, and “Copa America”, affirming a strong love of sports held by Vietnamese people.
In addition, environmental keyword "Tiến trình biến đổi khí hậu" (Climate change) made the list, reflecting growing concerns among Vietnamese people about natural disasters and environmental impact.
In the Top 5 searches of AI tools, key words such as “ChatGPT”, “Gemini”, “Viggle”, “Bard”, and “Character” were most sought. In particular, the emergence of 3D video content creation tools such as PixVerse and Luma drew plenty of attention from users, showing that Vietnamese people are actively testing and applying advanced technologies.
Concerning trending search terms in the travel category, “Malaysia” was the most searched keyword this year. Other sites to make the Top 5 of the travel category for 2024 were “Vinh Hy”, a coastal bay situated approximately 42km from Phan Rang city of Ninh Thuan province, the ancient city of “Hoi An”, the Mekong Delta city of “Can Tho”, and the Central Highland province of “Gia Lai”.
At the end of each year Google publishes its Google Year In Search list, based on the billions of searches conducted throughout that year. The tool provides data on search trends of tool users, past or present, searching regionally or globally.
The list is expected to enable firms and organisations to stay on top of relevant consumption trends, as well as gaining knowledge about market and social information.
