Gold ring price surges to reach new historic peak

The price of domestic gold rings continued their upward spiral this morning, hitting a new record of nearly VND86 million per tael for selling.

Doji Group is currently selling gold rings at VND85.7 million per tael and buying at VND84.7 million per tael, up by VND100,000 per tael compared to the previous trading session.

Furthermore, prices of gold rings at Bao Tin Minh Chau Company were quoted at VND84.68 million and VND85.68 million per tael for buying and selling, marking rises of VND100,000 per tael compared to the trading session on the previous day.

Meanwhile, Saigon Gold and Jewelry Company listed each tael of gold rings at the lowest price in the market with VND84 million for buying and VND85.4 million for selling.

The price of gold rings has increased continuously over the course of several weeks recently, following world gold prices. After only three months, the price of gold rings increased by more than VND7 million per tael.

The prices of gold bars at Doji Group and Bao Tin Minh Chau Company also rose to VND86 million and VND88 million per tael for buying and selling, respectively, up VND2 million compared to the previous trading session.

The difference between buying and selling was VND2 million.

The four State-owned commercial banks, namely Agribank, BIDV, VietinBank and Vietcombank, as well as the Saigon Jewelry and Germ Stone Co. (SJC), listed gold bars at VND84 million and VND86 million per tael for buying and selling, respectively.

Meanwhile, global gold prices stood at US$2,723 per ounce, up US$2 from the previous day.

According to experts, domestic gold prices are predicted to continue rising moving forward amid increasing global gold prices.
