Insiders assessed that Vietnamese fruit and vegetable exports witnessed remarkable growth last year with a record turnover of US$5.6 billion for the first time ever, up 57.7% compared to 2022.
Most notably, the fruit and vegetable industry continued to achieve remarkable growth in 2024 as exports surpassed the US$6 billion mark to reach US$7.2 billion.
With regard to future orientations, Nguyen Thanh Binh, chairman of the Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Association, emphasized that the association has set out seven tasks for the future, including serving a bridge between the State and businesses and conducting effective market analysis and forecast.
Furthermore, the association will create optimal conditions for producers and enterprises to co-operate and to build a stable and sustainable supply chain, whilst working to enhance the position of Vietnamese fruit and vegetables within the international arena.
The association will therefore convey enterprises’ recommendations to the State through devising policies which are suitable to the new situation, thereby helping producers and enterprises to adapt to relevant market fluctuations.
