Art lovers will be able to contemplate the artwork through an online exhibition held at Sofitel Legend Metropole hotel at 56 Ly Thai To street in Hanoi from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on October 11 and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on October 12 before it goes on sale.
The painting measuring 38x25cm was originally created in 1950, featuring two Vietnamese women dressing in an Ao Dai (traditional long dress) during their trip in spring.
The artwork is being offered by Millon's at an estimated price of EUR15,000 to EUR20,000.
Xuong was not only a painter, but also a talented sculptor. He was one of the most famous artists in Vietnam and held personal exhibitions very early, opening his first solo exhibition in 1941 in Ho Chi Minh City, before holding other exhibitions in Hanoi and Da Lat.
