The Asian market remains Việt Nam's largest source of international visitors, with over nine million arrivals, reflecting a 51 per cent increase year-on-year.
"Việt Nam consistent policy is to create favourable conditions for foreigners to enter, exit and reside in Việt Nam, so as to contribute to the country's socio-economic development," spokeswoman for the foreign ministry Phạm Thu Hằng commented.
"Favourable visa policies, and strong efforts in tourism promotion campaigns by localities across the country have attracted a rather high number of international guests compared to last year's number," the General Statistics Office explained on the rise.
