Digital and green transformation key to firms’ sustainable growth
The Biztech Vietnam 2024 conference and exhibition opened in Ho Chi Minh City on May 10 in an effort to accelerate the digital and green transformation process, thereby ensuring sustainable growth for Vietnamese businesses.
The event provided an ideal platform for businesses to share their experience and solutions relating to digital transformation in order to improve their efficiency of management, production, and marketing activities.
In his opening speech, Nguyen Van Khoa, chairman of the Vietnam Software and IT Services Association (VINASA), emphasised that the Vietnamese Government has committed to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050, and major markets in the world such as the United States and Europe have begun to apply carbon adjustment mechanisms and standards on green transformation and ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) standards for imported goods and services.
He underscored the importance of accelerating the digital and green transformation process for Vietnamese enterprises to meet these stringent ESG standards in a bid to make further inroads into the US and European markets.
Meanwhile, KPMG experts emphasised that the acceleration of digital and green transformation, as well as ESG practices, will contribute to businesses building customers’ loyalty, improving financial targets, and increasing their competitive advantages, thereby ensuring sustainable development and attracting more investors in the future.
