The factory will be built on an area of 21,248 hectares with an operational lifespan of 50 years. Once operational, it is expected to produce over 104 million stationery products and household items made from paper and plastic each year, as well as more than 2.4 million electronic devices, photocopiers, and shredders. Additionally, it will manufacture 22.5 million rubber products, including balls, sticks, and mats, with projected annual revenue of approximately US$5 million.
In his opening remarks, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Ho Duc Phoc emphasized that the Vietnamese government views digital transformation and green transformation as core elements of restructuring the economy and shifting growth models towards a green model.
He therefore expected that investors and businesses would adopt modern technology and maximize the use of green raw materials in their supply chains to achieve the highest efficiency in resource utilization, while also creating environmentally friendly products.
Vietnam fine-tunes legal regulations to create a favourable and equitable business environment for all investors. The government listens to and promptly addresses challenges to ensure that investors and businesses can develop sustainably, he said.
The Deputy Prime Minister urged Hai Duong to always accompany and support investors during the construction and operational phases in compliance with legal regulations.
Hai Duong should continue to create a transparent environment, ensure public order, and enhance the training of high-quality human resources, to help investors quickly bring the factory into operation, contributing to the socioeconomic development of Hai Duong and the country as a whole, he said.
In his response, Le Ngoc Chau, head of the Hai Duong provincial administration, affirmed that Hải Dương is always eager and well-prepared to welcome capable and experienced investors from both domestic and international markets.
The province is committed to accompanying investors and providing the most favourable conditions for them to implement projects on schedule and with high efficiency, said the official.
At the groundbreaking ceremony, Chau presented the investment certificate for office supplies manufacturing to Deli Group. Deli Group also donated VND2.5 billion, including VND2 billion in cash and 30,000 school supply kits, to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Duong Province to support recovery efforts from damage caused by Typhoon Yagi.
