From October 1, the entrance fee for the Da Lat Railway Station in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong will rise to VND50,000 (USD2.03) per tourist from the current level of VND5,000.

But certain groups of people will be exempted from the ticket, including those holding tickets for the Da Lat-Trai Mat train service; Heroes of Armed Forces, Heroes of Labour, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, war invalids; people aged 80 and over, children aged below 11 with a height of less than 1.35 metres and the disabled.
Meanwhile, a 50 percent discount will be given to people aged 65 to 80, Da Lat residents, people working agencies in Da Lat and those working in the railway industry.
A 30 percent discount will be applied to groups of 20 to 49 people, while the rate of 45 percent will be for groups of 50 people or more.
In July, Da Lat Railway Station was officially recognised as a tourist site. Da Lat Railway Station opened in 1938. The station's three roofs were designed to represent the three peaks of Da Lat's iconic Lang Biang Mountain.
In the coming time, the Vietnam Railways Corporation will develop a master plan for the Da Lat Railway Station with further investments for the railway.
