According to Tan Hong Trading and Tourism Co., Ltd., the Coral Princess, carrying approximately 2,600 international tourists, is set to arrive at Ba Ria-Vung Tau on October 22.
Saigon Tourist has planned to welcome five international cruise ships to the province between November 9 and December 27, with each ship bringing in 2,300 to 3,000 international tourists.
Following a day trip in Ba Ria-Vung Tau, tourists will be taken to other destinations such as Ha Long or Nha Trang.
This year, around 50 cruise ships are expected to dock at the Cai Mep-Thi Vai Port in Ba Ria-Vung Tau. Each ship transported at least 2,000 passengers.
The Department of Tourism has established connections with shipping companies, travel agencies, and ports to ensure the safe docking of cruise ships. Additionally, the agency has introduced 48 local historical sites, scenic landscapes, traditional craft villages, and unique cultural features, along with specialised tours for cruise ship passengers.
In January next year, the province is scheduled to host seven international cruise ships, the department said.
