This marks the first cruise ship of 2025 to bring international tourists to the coastal city.
During the two-day stay in Da Nang, the foreign travellers are expected to visit famous destinations such as Ngu Hanh Son (Marble Mountaina), Linh Ung Son Tra Pagoda, Cham Sculpture Museum, and My Khe beach. Other activities include taking cyclos to explore the city and experience a range of local delicacies.
Departing from Singapore on December 22, 2024, the Noordam cruise ship passed through Thailand and Cambodia before its arrival in Vietnam.
Last year saw more than 41,000 foreign tourists arrive in Da Nang by cruise ship via Tien Sa port, an annual increase of 122%.
According to information given by the Da Nang Port, the number of visitors to the central city by sea is forecast to grow strongly ahead in 2025.
This year Tien Sa port is expected to welcome 76 cruise ships, up 41 compared to 2024 with an estimated number of visitors reaching more than 70,000, up 64% compared to last year.
Meanwhile, the ancient town of Hoi An in the central province of Quang Nam welcomed 18 Italian tourists for the New Year 2025.
During their stay, the group will visit ancient architectural works in the old town and experience cultural and artistic activities, as well as enjoying demonstrations of typical traditional crafts.
