Vietnamese and international artists are gearing up for the upcoming BridgeFest 2024 music festival, scheduled to take place at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square in Hanoi on November 2.

The annual event, the sixth of its kind, will be open to the public and is set to welcome all spectators coming to enjoy the vibrant and stylish music on offer, according to the organisers at a press conference held in the capital on October 18.

BridgeFest 2024 will open with the theme of "Towards a Human Economy", delivering a meaningful message about sustainable development and community connection. Its goal is to spread positive values whilst further contributing to creating a society where everyone is equal.

Bridge, a band of diplomats, along with Vietnamese popular singers such as Phao, Thanh Duy, Ha Le, and the Wall band, will deliver spectacular performances for audiences to enjoy.

This year, 40 social organisations, enterprises, and youth clubs from across the country will join a space to introduce their activities, with a specific focus on resolving social problems relating to the environment, education, health care, and gender equality towards a better future.

BridgeFest, a free music and community festival, encourages young people to join hands and combat social prejudice and inequality.

The festival has toured around Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. This year the festival will return to Hanoi for the second time following the 2020 edition.

BridgeFest is jointly organised by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; the Embassies of Switzerland, the United States, the Netherlands, and Canada; and the UK-based Oxfam charitable organisation.
