The Double Impro from Belgium are set to take part in the Hue Festival 2024 this June, bringing with them special shows including improvisation between artists and audiences, reflecting the art innovation, and breaking the traditional norms of hip-hop dance culture.

The Belgian breakdance group will perform at the opening ceremony of Hue Festival 2024 which is slated for June 7 at Kien Trung Palace in Hue city.

They will also hold two performances with the theme of “Dialogue” at Quoc Hoc Square in Hue on June 9 - 10, in which the artists will pretend to meet each other for the first time. They will then share their tales and experiences through dances and movements to form a friendly conversation among dancers and between dancers and audiences.

Established in 2020 with four members, The Double Impro perform works based largely on impromptu interactions taking place between dancers and audiences.

The Belgian dancers will continue to perform at the Tuoi Tre (Youth) Theatre in Hanoi on June 23 alongside three hip-hop dance groups Flame, Sine, and B.Nashor of Vietnam.

The Hue Festival, which has been held for 24 years, is one of the key international art events in Vietnam. This year’s festival from June 7 to 12 is expected to bring visitors new and unique experiences in culture, history, and arts. Domestic artists and 12 troupes from seven countries will perform at the event.
