Bamboo Airways has announced plans to reopen the air route connecting Ho Chi Minh City of Vietnam and Bangkok of Thailand from November 26, one year on after the suspension of the route for restructuring purposes.

Initially, it will operate one round-trip flight per day between Tan Son Nhat International Airport and Don Mueang International Airport, said a Bamboo Airways representative.

The reopening of the air route marks an important milestone for the airline as it looks to re-establish its regular international flight network a year on from the previous suspension period focusing on restructuring, said Luong Hoai Nam, general director of Bamboo Airways.

This can be viewed as a strong testament to Bamboo Airways' positive recovery, he added.

Nam also revealed that on the occasion of the re-opening, Bamboo Airways will offer attractive ticket prices starting from VND0 (excluding taxes and fees), applying for all of the airline's official distribution channels.

The airline also plans to add two new aircraft to its fleet by the end of the year.
