The ASEAN Online Sale Day will be the first online shopping event to be conducted collectively on a region-wide scale and has been held annually since 2020.
It offers a prime opportunity for enterprises from across the bloc to come together to promote their products and to increase their sales via e-commerce in the region. The occasion comprises of two tiers for both domestic and cross-border transactions.
Reputable e-commerce firms and platforms in the 10 ASEAN countries will launch a series of special discount shopping schemes for consumers in their own countries and co-ordinate efforts with each other to join in a cross-border online shopping programme among ASEAN member states.
The ASEAN Online Sale Day 2024 therefore represents an important step for ASEAN as it shows solidarity and promotes its potential for e-commerce and online transactions, accesses favourable policies, and improves both the value of products and services of enterprises.
